She earned her Honours Specialization in Rehabilitation Sciences from Western University before completing her Chiropody training at the Michener Institute. With experience in both the Michener Chiropody Clinic and multiple practices across the Kitchener-Waterloo region, she delivers skilled, personalized care tailored to each patient’s needs. Inspired by her own foot health journey, Katie understands the impact healthy feet have on overall well-being. She stays up to date with the latest advancements to ensure the best possible outcomes for her patients. Son Hee Jin, D.Ch., became a Chiropodist driven by her strong interest in biomechanics. After earning her Medical Sciences degree from Western University, she completed her chiropody training at The Michener Institute of Education at UHN in 2017.

Son Hee takes a comprehensive approach, using detailed biomechanical exams and gait analysis to create personalized care plans that relieve discomfort, improve movement, and help you stay active and supported for the long term.

She provides general foot care for high-risk patients and is especially known for her gentle, precise approach to managing ingrown toenails. She offers both conservative treatments and, when needed, minor nail surgery to effectively resolve these conditions.

Outside of the clinic, Son Hee is an avid adventurer. She enjoys camping and hiking, and has completed the Camino de Santiago. Her personal life is fueled by a passion for exploring new destinations around the world.

Adam Schmidt, D.Ch., Adam Schmidt, D.Ch., is a skilled and knowledgeable Chiropodist who brings extensive experience in managing a wide range of patient conditions to our clinic. Adam is passionate about helping patients move and feel their best. He has a strong interest in biomechanical assessment, custom orthotic therapy, and evidence-based footwear recommendations. Adam also has a particular passion for treating ingrown toenails and enjoys offering patients both conservative and permanent surgical options. His clinical background includes working with high-risk patients during his placement at the Ottawa General Hospital’s outpatient wound clinic, where he gained valuable experience in complex foot and wound care.
